A Whirlwind Wedding at Chateau Tomášov: Nino and Patricia’s Magical Day
Most weddings take months or even years to plan, but Nino and Patricia proved that sometimes, the best moments come together at the last minute. With just six weeks to prepare, their wedding at Chateau Tomášov turned into a vibrant celebration filled with personal touches, laughter, and unique memories. The event holds a special place in our hearts, as it took place before we even launched our Castle Wedding project—a true testament to the magic of spontaneity.
The couple enlisted Jan as their photographer, but he ended up playing a much bigger role, helping plan the day’s timeline and coordinating the finer details. Despite the short planning period, the day flowed seamlessly, giving us time to incorporate many fun and spontaneous moments.
The festivities began with getting ready, followed by an intimate first look that transitioned into a quirky yet heartwarming portrait session. One of the guests had brought their dog, and to everyone’s delight, Nino and Patricia’s pet African grasshopper also made an appearance! These unique additions made the session extra special and surprisingly extended the time dedicated to the couple’s portraits—a rare luxury in wedding schedules.
The day continued with a pillow fight photo session with the bridesmaids and a groomsmen shoot, adding even more fun to the mix. The beautiful outdoor ceremony took place in the stunning gardens of Chateau Tomášov, creating a perfect backdrop for Nino and Patricia’s vows.
As the evening unfolded, the celebration carried on with a delicious dinner, lively dancing, and traditional moments, including a cake-cutting ceremony with sparklers lighting up the background. The night culminated in a Slovak folklore tradition known as “čepčenie,” followed by a joyous party that lasted until dusk.
